From Tipp City take I-75 South to exit 64, Northwoods Boulevard. Turn right at end of exit ramp and go past Delphi on the left to where it dead-ends into North Dixie Drive (Veterans Memorial Highway) at the edge of the airport. Turn left (South). It is two lanes South, but the right lane will eventually end. The first light is Route 40, National Road, in Vandalia, where there is a Rite Aid store on the Southwest, and a Goodyear store on the Southeast. Hearth and Home is 1.7 miles South of this intersection. Keep going South past the library on the left near the 2nd traffic light, past the cemetery on the right, and through the 3rd traffic light (Stonequarry Road). Just past Stonequarry Road is a "40 mph" sign on the right. Directly across from this sign you can see the roofs of Hearth and Homes many buildings on the left, as the facility is in a slight valley next to the road. 0.1 mile more on the left is Great Hill Street where you turn left. It is a divided street so keep right of the grassy center. At the stop sign go either left into the front parking lot, or straight into a large traffic circle, where we can also park. BEWARE: traffic coming from the right at this stop sign does NOT stop. Parking is limited so car-pooling is suggested. Also be cautious as there is road construction in this area, including at the entrance to Great Hill road. (If you go over I-70, you have missed it. Great Hill is just north of the I-70 overpass.) If you miss exit 64, the next exit is the main Vandalia exit, exit # 63, Route 40, National Road, where you can go right (West) and still get to the Rite Aid/Goodyear stores intersection, where you would turn left (South.) |
